KYW Holiday Gift Guide — 🎄 Shopping for your favorite sneakerhead with $100 or less
DON'T BUY SHOES.
Goooood morning, family! Happy Monday! Thanks so much for rocking with me today. I appreciate your time. It’s holiday time, y’all. I couldn’t be more excited.
HOUSEKEEPING: I want to give y’all the KYW schedule for the next few weeks. The last newsletter for 2023 will come on December 23rd. I’ll be back for the new year on January 13. Let’s have a happy holiday season, y’all!
Now let’s get into this gift guide.
Sneakers are expensive
That’s the reason this guide exists. Sneakers cost way too much these days. I was just talking to the homies about how it feels like every single shoe is around $200 retail now. It’s pretty ridiculous out here. Inflation, amirite?!?!?
But don’t fret: You do not need to buy your favorite sneakerhead $200 sneakers for Christmas this year. You actually don’t need to buy sneakers at all. It’s expensive. It can be a big hassle. The sneakerhead in your life loves you and they don’t want you to do that.
We are a very particular bunch of scoundrels. Normally we’d prefer to just cop things ourselves.
Plus, if you have a hypebeast on your hands, copping things can be particularly difficult for a normie.
So just don’t worry about it. There are plenty of other options out there for you to grab. And that’s where I come in.
This is KYW’s 2nd annual holiday gift guide with lots of fun sneaker related stuff at $100 or less. Hope this helps. Merry Christmas to those who celebrate and Happy Holidays to everyone else.
The accessories
Foxtrot Uniform Lace Buckle set ($48.00) Lace jewels are always fun to accessorize your sneakers. You can find some solid charms on Etsy for low prices, but this Foxtrot Uniform set will really set those kicks off something nice.
I had to throw this in: This Cuban Link for your sneakers from Lace Charms is insane and only $30. You can really ice out your sneakers.
Sneaker Throne shoe trees (6 for $54.50) Creases are a sneakerhead’s worst enemy — ask all of our crusty Dunks. Shoe trees are a great way to keep those creases at bay. You can grab a pack of 6 from Sneaker Throne to keep that rotation crease-free.
Rope Lace Supply no-tie shoe laces ($7.99) This is going to be one of the trends for 2023. Elastic no-tie laces are in. They’re fantastic to look at and plus they’re easy to put on and adjust. Try em out for yourself and get ahead of the curve.
Stylin with Sox
Apthcry Earth Tone pack (4 for $49) Socks are expensive, man. But they are essential to every sneakerhead experience. This 4 pack of Apthcry Earth tone socks are a bit up there in terms of pricing, but they’re quality. Totally worth it.
New Balance arch compression socks (5 for $29) These are in that cheaper range, they’re good for your foot’s arches and there’s no real visible branding on them so you can wear them with a bunch of different kicks.
Cotton-On Box of Socks (5 for $20) If you’re into some wild sock designs and less minimal stuff, Cotton-On has some pretty creative stuff available. Keith Haring art, Powerpuff Girls, Rick and Morty. There’s plenty more where that came from.
Found a new hobby?
Puluz 16 x 16 product photo box ($59.99) Do we have a content creator on our hands? How about a sneaker photographer? This 16 x 16 box will give your sneakerhead a pretty cool way to show off their collection.
HYPEBRICKZ Chicago Air Jordan 1 ($60) If you’re person is into legos or puzzles, Hype Brickz could have something fun. They’ve legofied (is that a word?) some of the most hyped kicks out there. From Dunks to Air Maxes and Jordan 1s, there are plenty of options. The Chicago AJ1 is $60.
Floating sneaker display shelves ($78) In my household right now, there’s a redecorating bug going around between my wife and I. Don’t ask me how it’s going. Anyway, these floating sneaker shelves are pretty sick.
Let’s get out more
2023 Sneaker Calendar ($19.26) We should all get outside a little more in 2023, right? Mark down some travel dates (and some release dates!) with this sneaker calendar for 2023.
Lace Hype Sneaker travel bag ($89) Y’all know the sneakers have to travel in style, right? You can take four pairs on the road with you with this duffle bag from Premium. It’s got a ton of space with slots for your kicks so they’re not fumbling around everywhere you go.
Nike traveling sneaker box ($40) If you don’t need that many pairs to come with you, just go simple and easy with a traveling shoe box like this one. It’s light and easy to carry.
Create a sneaker space
First Choice Rug Nike rug ($36.72) Having a good set up for your sneaker room is key. A good rug is always a nice place to start. This joint from First Choice Rug is one that Nike fans will love. It comes in multiple sizes, too.
Nike Dunk Wall Art ($49.95) Having sneaker wall art is always pretty fun. Fans of the Dunk will love these pieces here. Simple, but perfect.
Nike Swoosh Neon Sign ($90.99) Neon signs are a vibe, man. Put one of these joints in your sneaker room and it’ll really set it off — especially if you’re a streamer. Even if you’re not, it’s still just cool to look at. You’ll love it.
And, finally, some cleaner to keep them fresh
Jason Markk cleaning kit ($32) Jason Markk is excellent, man. I would tell the story about how I spill jerk sauce on my Dunks all these years ago, but you’ve probably heard it before so I’ll spare the details. Just know this cleaner saved me.
CREP Ultimate Sneaker Care kit ($35) If you need waterproofing, CREP is great. Plus this entire kit comes with the works — shoe trees, wipes, a towel, refresher pods. It’s a great investment for any sneakerhead.
That’s that on that! Thanks so much for reading this year. Appreciate your time. Your sneakerhead will have a happy holiday and so will you!
The 2023 Prediction Mailbag is coming on Friday! If you’ve got any last minute predictions you want to throw in or things you’d like for me to address here, feel free to throw them in one last time on this link here!
Til next time, family. Peace and Love. Be easy, be safe, be kind. And we out.
