What up, family! We’re back for another thread. Today, we’re going to talk about this summer — the one we didn’t really have haha.
Don’t know about y’all but I’m pretty sure that I’m done copping kicks for the summer. Now that it’s over, I’m reflecting a bit and thinking about everything that dropped. This felt like a pretty hot summer. Lots of Dunk love, obviously. The Spiridon Cage 2 rebirth. Lots of New Balance love, lots of Yeezy drops. AND there were some good non-hyped drops.
It was a good time! Just wish we all had somewhere to actually, ya know, where these joints LOL.
Anyway, what were your favorite drops this summer? And what are y’all looking forward to getting this fall?
I didnt even bother picking up any heat for myself this summer went in for my son tho. I'm just waiting on the OG AM 95 Neons to get a date and that'll make my year
I have to be pretty selective due to limited funds, but I picked up the Jordan 5 Bel-Airs, so guess those were my favorite drop. I wish my shoe account could bounce back in time to get the Bio Hack 1s, but I’m looking forward to the holiday 11s and maybe the blue cement 3s...
The Lebron 7 media day and MVP’s were my personal favorites, looking forward to the fire red 4’s, air max 95 neon, and of course hopefully the Lebron 7 CTK
favorite pickup this year was the Nike Dunk Low Samba that I won on snkrs, first time since December 2019 when I won raygun tie-dyes lol. been wanting these dunks since college back in 2001. the shoe I'm looking forward to are the nike air Jordan 1 baroque brown, reminds me of the nike dunk high undefeated NL. color blocking is nice on them

My fav drops this summer were the Yeezy Foam Runners and the Wotherspoon ASICS... shoe I'm most looking forward to in September is the Yeezy 380 Pepper. I actually think it's a DOPE fall shoe, with the hits of brown and the dark sole. I can't wait to cop and I'm pretty sure I'll get them at retail too since the 380s (besides the Aliens) haven't sold well
I didn't get them cause I don't think they went up to my size even with the extended sizing, but the satin snake 1s were a favourite of mine, as was the alternate grape 5s
I picked up the AM1 Daisy, AM90s in the turquoise color way, and the Jordan 34 Welcome to the Zoo Jayson Tatum PE. I’m a Duke fan and originally from St. Louis so I was pumped to land those. Not sure what I’ll grab for the fall, hopefully those brown Jordan 1s. I live in the Twin Cities now so I really just need some heavy duty joints for our 5 months of winter coming 😂
My favorite drop was the Alternate Bel Air 5. I can hear Fresh Prince and Jazzy Jeff’s “Summertime” playing in my head as I put them on, lol. Looking forward to the Jordan 14 Royals.
I hopped right on the trend and got as many of the dunks as Nike and other retailers would send me. Copped the Strangeloves from my local in the before times. Still loving the Safaris. I will buy anything co.jp related, including Plums and Sambas (thank you Concepts). Still need the Jordans. I really want the case though.
Non-Nike pickups included the RF Tokyo Gel-Lyte III's and the Brain Dead x Reebok Classics.
UNC 3’s for sure...Jordan 1 Tokyo and the Yeezy Zyon are probably my top 3. Civilist SB right there too though. Not sure about much past Labor Day, but trying to go into the long weekend with a win on the Bio hacks.
My faves that I was able to pick up this summer that was hyped- the Jordan 13 Flints. I also copped the Air Max 90 Supernovas(and swear to you that I love, love, love them). The pair I picked up that weren’t hyped but sold the heck out? The women’s Jordan 1’s lows cactus flower color way. Loved that cactus flower color way so much, I copped the Jordan OG’s in the same color.
I haven't really been copping shoes, but KicksDeals just dropped a link to the SNS 4Ds on sale, and after saying "ah I'll get some 4Ds eventually" for years, I'm finally copping a pair.
My favorite pick ups were Air Max 90's, ACG Deschutz, and some classic AF1's. I missed out on the Union drop but I'm looking forward to trying again at the end of the month.
My personal favorite drop of the summer were the Flint 13s and Jordan 3 UNCs! The Flints are a personal Grail and Im a die hard UNC fan so In love what they did wit the silhouette. Im not a fan of SBs but I really wanted the strangle loves but of course I struck out. Im looking forward to the Yeezy 350 "Asriels" and the Oregon 5s that are coming out.

Surprisingly, didn't pick up much this summer. But the air max 95 Korea pack has been my most worn since I got em. Gotta support the heritage! :)
And they're so cheap on secondary markets now. Maybe I'll pick up a 2nd pair!

I'm a fan of the AJ1 Satin Reds and the Grey/Reds. Keeping an eye on them resale-wise to see if the price drops. Just the right kind of timeless.
