Food poisoning is quite rare, and it's unlikely that MJ had it. You've probably never had it. I've never had it. He most likely had norovirus or the stomach flu, which makes the "flu game" moniker appropriate, IMO.
I think one reason that big man shoes haven't traditionally (Shaq notwithstanding) sold well are that...they're big shoes. Look at the early LeBrons: they're not "retro chunky big", they're "big big". Now that the league has almost completely transitioned to a low/mid profile shoe starting w/ Kobe, you might be able to have a big man's shoe that doesn't look like a big man's shoe.
